Transportation
From Naples, take the Circumvesuviana train to Ercolano Scavi or Pompeii Scavi. From either station, you can take a bus or taxi to the entrance of Vesuvius National Park. From the park entrance, shuttle buses are available to take you closer to the trailhead. Alternatively, organized tours from Naples often include transportation to and from Vesuvius.
